Keep Fraying at Bay

Have you ever tried using glue on the ends of ribbon to keep it from fraying?

Well, I have and it always dried a bit darker that the fabric/ribbon itself.  It's not usually a big deal but I found this great stuff that dries clear without changing the color of the fabric.  You seriously cannot tell that it's there!  I found this bottle of Dritz Fray Check while picking up some quilting supplies and decided to give it a whirl.

Before picture, potential fray hazard.

Apply small amount of Fray Check to the end and let dry.

All dried!  The shadow effect int he picture makes it hard to see but there is NO color difference what so ever!

The Fray Check actually dries to form a clear plastic film.  I'm happy, problem solved!
