Glittered Rainbow and Pot 'O Gold with double sided adhesive and Silhouette

I finally got to try my Silhouette double sided adhesive paper with glitter!  I think it's my first project for both!  I saw a couple projects on blog.silhouetteamerica.com and I knew I needed to try using them both!  A Rainbow and Pot O' Gold seemed like a great fit for glitter...

St. Pat's 'Keep Calm'

I busted out the Silhouette and decided to jump on the 'Keep Calm' bandwagon.  I couldn't resist.  How about the little drunk leprechaun at the top?!  Isn't he great?!  I love St. Patrick's Day (and my Silhouette)!!

I designed my 'Keep Calm' on Silhouette Studio (including the little drunk leprechaun) and cut it out in green cardstock on my Silhouette...

I pulled the cardstock off the cutting mat and placed it on a piece of white cardstock, adhering it into place with an adhesive dot roller...

I adhered the little center pieces into their respective places...

I hung it in a frame for all to admire...(mostly myself, but I can pretend)!

Stampin' Shamrocks

Steel made this awesome stamped shamrock picture!

He used toilet paper rolls folded in the shape of a heart...

Dipped it in paint...

Stamped on paper...3 hearts = shamrock... he even used an edge to make the stems...

St. Pat's WordArt

I love this (and my Silhouette)!  I love St. Patrick's Day as well, even though we just sit home these days.

I designed the WordArt using Silhouette Studio and cut in out in white cardstock with my Silhouette...

I cut pieces of green colored card stock (3 different shades) and stuck them behind each of the words/phrases.  I stuck the centers on where they were needed as well.  I used an adhesive dot roller to affix the paper in place.  If I put too much where it showed through to the other side, it easily rubbed off, kind of like rubber cement...

This is what the back looked like where I was finished...

Awesome, huh?!  I didn't have to print it out using tons of ink and it has some dimension to it!!

Smothered Chicken - Crockpot & Freezer Meal

I have not posted in over a week!  Our house has been filled with sickness for the past three weeks.  It started with me (I am still not 100%), it moved on to the hub and then to our little guy.  It's been miserable.  Hopefully by next weekend we are all feeling 100% again.

As for my fan-tab-ulous Smothered Chicken...  I went crazy one day and prepared 35 freezer meals in one day.  I will post on the entire process after I post all my recipes.  (That way I can link them all.)  This worked out great as a freezer meal and crockpot meal.  What's even better is that it latest us two days!

Valentine Fortune Cookies

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

We made Dad (paper) fortune cookies for Valentine's Day but instead a stuffing a fortune inside them, we put reasons why we love him inside.  We put them all in a paper bag with 'Dad, We Love You...' on it and each reason started with '...because (or when)'.  {i.e. ...because you play with me.}  I had to help Steel get started but then he was on a roll.  It was cute and fun.

Valentine Mug Rug

I've seen all these 'Mug Rugs' all over Pinterest and needed to make one for myself.  I'm not a coffee drinker but I thought that it would be a cute holiday accent for the table.

I used both my Silhouette and my sewing machine!  Click Read More for How I Did It...

Classmate Valentines

We made these Valentines for Steel's classmates this year.  These are Brown Paper Hearts but made out of Red Paper Bags instead and... of course, filled with m&ms.  Steel wrote everyone's name on the front and wrote his own name of the back.  Mom stitched around the hearts leaving an opening for the goodies, filled them with m&ms and stitched them closed.

Valentine Gift Bag - Silhouette Project

Awesome, huh?!  After I spent the better part of an hour searching for the design number so that I could share it with you, I realized that it was a free design on my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition.  ARGH!!!  It's great though, isn't it?
